Fundraiser held to continue search for man who went missing in Lancaster one year ago today

Daniel Hives went missing one year ago today

Friends and family of a man who went missing in Lancaster on this day one year ago have gathered to raise funds to keep searching for him.

Daniel Hives was last seen on the night of December 10 2022 leaving an address in City View, Sidings Close, Lancaster, which is close to Greyhound Bridge near the River Lune.

There has been no trace of Daniel since then despite extensive searches.

His friends, family and supporters met up at an event at the Beam and Brycg pub in Bamber Bridge on Saturday, to raise money towards continuing the search.

Funds will go to the Chorley-based Beneath the Surface underwater diving team, who help families search for missing loved ones using sonar technology and scuba diving skills. They have searched the Lune for Daniel on more than one occasion this year.

Dad-of-one Mr Hives, who who has links to Preston, is described as 6'2, of slim build, with short brown hair. When he was last seen, he was wearing a blue Hugo Boss tracksuit and black trainers.

Anyone with information could contact Lancashire Police via email to 6966@lancashire.police.uk , call 101 or the Crime Stoppers freephone number on 0800 555111, or come into Morecambe Police Station.
