The dates for the 2024 Wray Scarecrow Festival have been announced.
The popular event in the village will run from Saturday April 27, through the following week and into the Spring Bank Holiday weekend, ending on Monday May 6, when the annual Fair will take place.
This year’s theme is “Sci-Fi”.
The programme will broadly follow that of previous years and organisers say further details will be announced when they are confirmed in the coming weeks.
People flock to the festival every year from far and wide to see the many and varied scarecrows around the village near Lancaster.
The 2023 event featured traditional maypole dancing, a fell race, a giant scarecrow parade with the Batala samba drummers, the Beyond Radio roadshow, and of course, lots and lots of scarecrows.
