Lancaster City will make the trip to Stafford Rangers and a win would see them go above their opponents in the league table.

Lancaster come into Saturday's Northern Premier League Premier Division game off the back of a great result last time out against FC United of Manchester.

Their 2-0 victory saw them move up to 14th in the league, thanks to goals from Nic Evangelinos and Christian Sloan.

Meanwhile, Stafford Rangers have only won one of their last nine matches, losing seven.

The only draw from those nine games was on Tuesday night against Ashton United.

When the two sides played each other in November, Rangers won 2-1 thanks to goals from Alex Kiwomya and Jaiden White.

Lancaster City boss Mark Fell has more than just last week’s result to be happy about. It is hoped that the club’s injury list will get shorter with the potential returns of defenders Jamie Mellen and Pat Allington and midfielder Brad Carroll.

Charlie Bailey will definitely be available for selection again after he served his three match ban for his sending off against Matlock Town on January 28.

Speaking to the media after Saturday’s game, the Dollies gaffer said that, because of possible returns, “we should be able to pick a team that will try to mitigate” Stafford’s style of play.

Stafford Rangers v Lancaster City kicks off at Marston Road on Saturday (February 18) at 3pm.

Lancaster City are asking for enthusiastic people to join their team of match day volunteers. To get in touch, contact them on their social media or email generalmanager@lancastercityfc.com
