Venues revealed for "blockbuster" Morecambe Music Festival

Harry's Bar will be one of the venues for the 2023 Morecambe Music Festival

Thirty-five venues have been announced for the biggest ever Morecambe Music Festival.

The annual live music event in the town will take place from July 6-9.

The venues for 2023 are:

Harry's Bar, The Station Promenade, Johnny's Warehouse Bar, Smokey O'Connors, the Bath Hotel, the Boardwalk, the Brittlestar, the Exchange, the Masons, the Palatine, the Midland Hotel, the Pier, the Joiners, the York Hotel, the Hurley Flyer, the King's Arms, the Lord Nelson, the Chieftain, Regent Park Pavilion, More Music, The Bull, Bar 1866, the Royal, Rita's Cafe, the Stone Jetty Cafe, the Festival Market, Ruby's Cafe, Miogelato, the Beach Cafe, Embargo, the Clock Tower Cafe, Coffey's, Morecambe Hovercraft Station, Lewis's Cafe and the Morecambe Hotel. 

Stuart Michaels, festival founder, said: "I'm thrilled that our venues have increased for this year.

"It's great to bring new sponsors on board as well. The festival is definitely going in the right direction.

"With the great news of the Eden Project it's a positive time for the town, and we're looking forward to bringing you an absolute blockbuster of a summer festival!"

Morecambe Music Festival will extend to four days this year with the addition of a new night to showcase original music.

Morecambe Music Festival 'Introducing....' will take place on Thursday July 6 at The Exchange in the West End of Morecambe.

This event to launch the 2023 festival will be primarily for artists who have not appeared at the festival before and who perform their own original music.

Artists for the 2023 festival will be announced soon.

The event was founded by Morecambe singer and event promoter Stuart Michaels (below) and first took place in 2017.

The festival attracts thousands of people into the town to enjoy live music across a wide range of venues from various acts, many of them local.
