St John's Hospice has announced that this year's Moonlight Walk will be the last ever.
The annual late-night community walk through parts of the Lancaster and Morecambe area to raise funds for the hospice will end after this year's event on Saturday June 11.

"All good things come to an end and maybe it's time to move on and plan other fundraising events for the community," said Lisa Morgan, fundraising manager.
"It's been difficult this year and even though we've opened it to all for the second year running, so men are more than welcome, it's been hard to get people to sign up.
"We're going out with a bang, it's going to be one Jubilee party, a historic event for the hospice.
"It will be emotional. This is the year to do it, because there won't be one next year. It's the last opportunity, so bring the family. Hopefully we'll have a fantastic time."
The walk starts at the hospice and is open for the second year running to everyone aged 11 and over.
This year's walk is themed on the Queen's Platinum Jubilee and fancy dress is very much welcomed!
There is a £15 sign-up fee, and walkers will receive a special crown-themed medal, a T-shirt, as well as hot food and fizz at the finishing line.
Each participant is being asked to pledge £40 of sponsorship money.
The walk starts at 8pm and there will be pre-walk entertainment hosted by Beyond Radio, as well as local samba drummers Samba Espirito.
Under 18s must walk with a responsible adult.

*Meanwhile the hospice is also gearing up to open a new facility at its Slyne Road base tomorrow (June 1).
The Forget Me Not Centre will provide whole family bereavement support, for families in North Lancashire, the South Lakes and parts of North Yorkshire, both at the centre near Lancaster and out in the community; in homes and supporting schools.
St John’s Hospice is a local charity which provides free palliative care to patients with life shortening conditions.
The charity is one third-funded by the government and relies on fundraising and donations for the rest of its funding.
