INTERVIEW: Owners of new Lancaster nightclub "confident we've done everything right"

Tim Barbary, Avinash Nandwani and Rick Backhouse, owners of the new Vibe nightclub in Lancaster

The owners of a new Lancaster nightclub have spoken exclusively to Beyond Radio ahead of their grand opening this Saturday (October 22).

Tim Barbary, Avinash Nandwani and Rick Backhouse are opening Vibe nightclub in Dalton Square where tickets for opening night sold out in five hours.

The three business partners say that safety and welfare of their customers is their number one priority.

Vibe will be opening in the same building as the former Walkabout, Dalton Rooms and most recently, Glow Rooms.

In June 2022, a man died following an incident outside the building and the previous nightclub closed down.

Since then, Mr Barbary, Mr Nandwani and Mr Backhouse have taken over the running of the premises.

"We've spoken to the local authorities, the police, we sat down with (Lancaster University) Student's Union, we've had talks with staff, to make sure everything is run to the book, which is what we want, and it will be.

"It's now in our hands to make this a success."
