Have your say on plans for 90 new homes in Scotforth

Plans have been launched to build 90 new properties on land on Scotforth.

The public can have their say for the next week on the scheme which could see 90 homes and new public open space on land south of Rays Drive.

Northstone say the proposed development will create 90 high-quality new homes and apartments in a range of styles and sizes to meet the needs of local people, with 30 per cent being affordable homes.

50 per cent of the site would be transformed into public open space and more than 300 additional trees would be planted, as well as new pedestrian and cycle routes and natural play areas.

It currently has outline consent for residential development and is allocated for development in the South Lancaster Broad Area for Growth.

Northstone is now preparing to submit a Reserved Matters Application for the site, which will address the detail of the proposals including site layout and house types.

A public consultation is being held until next Monday (February 28th), Members of the public can find out more about the proposals on their consultation website and view a virtual exhibition.

Residents can have their say by leaving a message by calling 0333 358 0502 (available Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm), by email at scotforthroadconsultation@havingyoursay.co.uk, or by writing to Freepost SHAPE TOMORROW, Northstone Scotforth Road.
