Friends of missing man to hold meet-up where he disappeared in Lancaster

Daniel Hives

Friends of a man who went missing from Lancaster more than two months ago will gather in the area where he disappeared to help with the search for him.

A meet-up to raise awareness of missing man Daniel Hives will take place on Friday March 3 at 10.30am at the Lune Street exit of the Millennium Bridge in Lancaster.

Supporters will wear T-shirts with Daniel's face on them, and will put up posters and give out flyers in the hope of tracing the 28-year-old, who hasn't been seen since the night of December 10 2022.

The idea of the meet-up is ensure that as many people as possible know Mr Hives' face and see if anyone can remember seeing him around the area.

A public Facebook group 'Join the Search to Find Daniel Hives' has also been set up.

He was last seen when he left an address in City View, Sidings Close, Lancaster, which is close to the River Lune.

Extensive searches have taken place since Daniel’s disappearance and these are continuing.

Daniel, who has links to Preston, is described as 6ft tall, of slim build, with short brown hair. He was wearing a blue Hugo Boss tracksuit and black trainers.

Lancashire Police’s search teams which includes dogs and drones have been involved, as has the police’s North West Underwater Search and Marine Unit, specialist water rescue personnel and dogs from Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service, together with Lancaster Area Search and Rescue and the National Police Air Service.
