Call made to star in Bay International Film Festival trailer

A call has been made for aspiring actors to star in a promotional trailer for The Bay International Film Festival.

Festival organisers are looking for between ten and fifteen adult actors, plus extras, from all backgrounds to star in the trailer to promote the inaugural event, which takes place in October.

Dancing and movement skills are a plus, but not essential.

The trailer will be filmed on July 2, in locations including on Morecambe Bay, along the promenade, and in REEL Cinema, with actors required to play audience members being drawn to the cinema.

The trailer is made by volunteers and the roles are unpaid, however, refreshments will be provided.

It’s hoped that the trailer might be screened in REEL Cinemas, so it's a great opportunity to get onto the big screen.

We are looking for main actors, as well as extras!

If interested, please email: katiehatt0210@gmail.com with a headshot and a short video stating your name, age, what your favourite film is, and why.

If you have any extra dance or movement skills, please send a video of them too.

The Bay International Film Festival (TBIFF) is a new event which is planned to run annually in Morecambe.

The 2023 festival edition is a competition to select and award the best visually captivating and thought-provoking short films from around the world, by filmmakers that have an ambition of making a social impact, bringing awareness of old and new problems in the society and making an attempt to inspire audiences for thoughts and changes.

The festival is inspired by the unique location of Morecambe Bay and the communities surrounding it. Intimate in scale and ambitious in its artistic scope, TBIFF'23 aims to promote international independent short films in the Lancashire and Cumbria areas as well as create a cultural dialogue between the audiences of North West England and the world.

In addition to general submissions, each year there will be a special topic category as well as a special award.

The topic of the 2023 edition is “The Impacts of War”.

Festival tickets will go on sale in the coming weeks.
