Wind in the Willows blows in to Lancaster’s Williamson Park

Lancaster’s Williamson Park will be the setting for a fun, family friendly production of The Wind in the Willows this Easter.

Mole, Ratty, Mr Toad, Badger and Weasel will be having all kinds of adventures when they make the beautiful Edwardian park their home from April 8-11.

The Wind in the Willows will be presented by Lancaster’s Three Left Feet theatre and events company in association with Morecambe-based Funcast Character Company.

This hour-long adaptation of Kenneth Grahame’s classic tale will be performed in the park’s Council Chamber, next to the Ashton Memorial and audiences are invited to bring picnics along and their own seating. Dogs are welcome too.

Funcast originally toured this production in 2015 and 2016 but it is the first time that this version – complete with songs and puppetry – will be performed in Williamson Park.

Three Left Feet presented Twelfth Night in the park in 2022 and other past theatre productions include A Christmas Carol and A Fisherman’s Tale. They have also created shadow puppetry productions of The Snow Queen and The Deer of Nine Colours and produced Sir Richard Owen’s Dino Tours for DinoFest and Spooky Skeleton Tours in Lancaster. They run weekly adult acting classes at The Gregson Arts & Community Centre too.

“The Wind in the Willows will be a wonderful Easter treat for all the family as five actors bring their fun characters to life and take them on ridiculous adventures, singing silly songs along the way,” said producer, Elspeth Dale, founder of Three Left Feet

There will be three performances of Wind in the Willows each day at 11am, 1pm and 4pm.
