The Shrimps make a quick return to Lincoln tomorrow (Tuesday), for their Papa Johns Trophy clash with the Imps.

Saturday’s defeat leaves the Shrimps six points from safety inside the League One relegation zone, despite another encouraging performance which saw them hit the post twice.

‘’We’re disappointed after every loss, but we can take confidence about the way we played and hopefully start picking up points,’’ said captain, Donald Love.

‘’We need to stay in reach (in the league) and hopefully kick on from there.’’

‘’I think everyone who’s come in has played well, we have a good group of lads, and everyone is sticking together.

‘’It’s a quick turnaround. At the end of the day, the final is at Wembley, and we go into the game aiming to win.

‘’Tuesday will be a long day but we just need to put in the same performance we did against them, on Saturday, but come and win.

‘’Whatever team the gaffer picks will be strong and hopefully we can win. We need to focus on the 90 minutes and put on a performance.’’
