The Moore & Smalley Palace Shield Cricket Competition (PSCC) has announced its fixtures for the 2024 season.
The teams in the PSCC include many of our local cricket clubs, including league newcomers Heysham.
Preparations are already under way for many clubs, with indoor nets sessions taking place at some clubs’ facilities.
The Palace Shield format for every division consists of 22 match days on 22 Saturdays from April 20.
All divisions will conclude on the same day, September 14.
Here are our local clubs’ fixtures for the opening day:
Premier Division
Eccleston CC 1st XI v Carnforth CC 1st XI
Lancaster CC1st XI v Vernon Carus CC 1st XI
Torrisholme CC 1st XI v Penwortham CC 1st XI
Division 1A
Longridge CC 2nd XI v Westgate CC 1st XI
Morecambe CC 1st XI v Fylde CC 1st XI
Netherfield CC 2nd XI v Heysham CC 1st XI
Division 2
Penwortham CC 2nd XI v Torrisholme CC 2nd XI
Vernon Carus CC 2nd XI v Lancaster CC 2nd XI
The League’s T20 and Cup competition fixtures will be confirmed in April.
The League’s Sunday Competition fixtures will be finalised by the end of January.
The Westmorland Cricket League’s fixtures will be announced in the coming weeks.
