Striker Ged Garner has joined Morecambe on loan from Barrow AFC for the rest of the season.
The 25-year-old joined the Bluebirds for a record transfer fee in January 2023 after spending six-and-a-half years at Fleetwood Town.
During his time at Highbury, Garner developed through the youth ranks and spent various spells on loan with the likes of Southport, Bamber Bridge, FC United and Gateshead before establishing himself in the first team.
The striker’s senior debut came in November 2018, where he also scored his first professional goal in a 4-1 victory over Alfreton Town.
78 appearances and 15 goals later, a move to Barrow came about where the Liverpool-born man has scored four goals and provided four assists in 39 appearances.
Speaking of his arrival at the Mazuma Mobile Stadium, Garner said: “I'm really excited, I can't wait to get going.
"When Barrow played Morecambe, I thought it was a very tight game with two very good sides going at it, so when I knew I was coming here, I knew I was joining a decent side.
"Personally, I want to come here to play and score as many goals as possible until the end of the season, that will hopefully help the football Club move up the table.
"Just know that I'll work hard and hopefully chip in with a few goals & assists and give my best to the Club."
