Lancaster City FC has revealed its new home kit and a list of pre-season friendlies ahead of the new season.

Lancaster City’s pre-season will begin with a trip to local side Slyne-with-Hest on July 4, and will end just over a month later with a visit to Clitheroe.

The fixtures confirmed at the time of writing are:

July 4: Slyne with Hest (A)

July 8: Altrincham (H)

July 12: Bolton Wanderers B team (H)

July 22: Holker Old Boys (A)

July 29: Widnes (A)

August 5: Clitheroe (A)

The club’s retained list has also been announced.

Charlie Bailey, Jake Connelly, Brad Carroll, Nico Evangelinos, Dom Lawson, Kyle Brownhill, Jamie Mellen, Sam Bailey and Christian Sloan will all be wearing the blue of Lancaater City next season.

Defender Rudy Misambo had agreed to stay with the club for the 2023/24 campaign, but then received an offer from National League North side Farsley Celtic which was too good to turn down.

Pawel Zuk, Sam Waller, Matthew Tweedley and Owen Robinson have left the club after the expiration of their loan deals.

All other players are in discussions with the club regarding their future.

The club revealed their home kit with the help of dozens of fans on the Lancaster Priory steps on Saturday night (May 27).

Charlie Bailey and Lancaster City Ladies player Izzy Woodhouse, along with young fans, modelled the kit, which is a lighter shade than last year’s and features dark blue, light blue and white stripes in the centre of the shirt, and a silhouette of four of the biggest city landmarks – Ashton Memorial, Lancaster Castle, Lancaster Town Hall and Lancaster Priory - on the back.

The home kit continues to be sponsored by Fear Records, while accessplanit are the new away shirt sponsors, as well as the sponsors for the Neil Marshall Legend stand.

Dollies in the Community (DitC) have a new sponsor - HiQ Lancaster, who club director Dave Evans says “will help us deliver many of the new community initiatives we have lined up”.

DitC have organised some fantastic events in its first season, from a walking football club to health tests to several opportunities to young footballers and schoolchildren, including coaching sessions and activity books being delivered to schools in the local area.

Ever since the final whistle blew at the Giant Axe after their 2-1 win over Guiseley on the last day of the 2022/23 season, the Dolly Blues have been teasing and announcing big things for the season ahead, from season ticket prices, to kit reveals, to retention lists, to pre season friendlies.

David Hall, from the club’s media team, revealed the club’s season ticket prices, which are cheaper than last season’s, exclusively on Beyond Radio’s Saturday Sport Show earlier this month:

An adult season ticket is £150, and £110 for concessions (over 65s). Season ticket holders get almost 50% off the standard ticket price of £12 for each home match (£9 for concessions).

A season ticket for 12-17 year-olds is just £35.

The club also announced an incredible lifetime season ticket price offer, meaning that supporters can make a one-off payment of £1,000 to attend every single Lancaster City home league match for the rest of their life.

All under 12s are eligible to join the Junior Dollies Club.

For £25 a year, becoming a Junior Dollies Club member gives younger fans a season ticket, a scarf, a Junior Dolly Blues certificate, a Lancaster City FC activity book, priority mascot opportunities, priority Team of the Week opportunities and the chance to meet the players and play on the Giant Axe.
