Heysham Atoms rugby league fixtures announced

Heysham Atoms rugby league club will get their league campaign under way in just a few weeks.

The club are playing in the North West Men’s Premier Division despite their last-placed finish in the league last season. They were not relegated due to a shortage of teams in the division last year.

They begin their quest for a higher finish on Saturday March 11 at Powder House Lane with a visit from Latchford Albion.

In preparation for the upcoming season, the Atoms have played two pre-season friendlies against Chorley Panthers and Keighley Albion.

Heysham Atoms’ ladies team have a friendly on Sunday (March 5) away against Barrow Raiders Ladies at the Matt Johnson Prestige Stadium before they begin their first season in a league – the North West Counties Development League.

The entry fee for the game is £5, and Barrow Raiders are giving all supporters a £5 food and drink voucher and the chance to watch the Barrow Raiders men’s game after the ladies play.
