A long-established funfair has returned to the site that will soon be home to the Eden Project Morecambe.
Taylor's Funfairs has been setting up this week on the former Dome, Bubbles and Super Swimming Stadium land where it has been located during spring and summer for many years.
As work on building the Eden Project Morecambe is not expected to start until late 2023/early 2024, Taylor's are setting up their mobile fairground attractions on the land once again this year.
A spokesperson for Lancaster City Council told Beyond Radio in January that “the area can remain available for event organisers until the end of the summer season".
Taylor's 'Mega Funland on the Bay' will be open on the site as usual from early April until September.
The travelling funfair company has been active in the North West for more than 100 years.

The proposed Eden Project Morecambe visitor attraction is earmarked for 4.8 hectares of land on the central promenade in Morecambe, near the Midland hotel, including the former Dome and Bubbles site.
Initial soil sample survey work took place on the land earlier this month.
Si Bellamy, chief activation officer for the Eden Project, told Beyond Radio earlier this month that the next step for the project would include securing the remaining £50m of funding and "engaging the community and diligence behind the scenes".
"That's a lot of work. Nothing that people will see front and centre outside, but the fundamentals of any major programme. You've got to do your homework and get that right before you even start putting a spade in the ground.
"We've been quite clear that 2026 is where we're heading. That's our target to race for, to make sure it opens well.
"We're going to do as much design as we can, then looking at getting spades in the ground.
"Potentially (early 2024), hopefully will go quicker than that."

The mixed-use complex will be housed in four shell-like domes and will combine indoor and outdoor attractions, themed around Morecambe Bay.
The facility is set to include plants, art and interactive exhibits, a concert area for live music events, three cafe/restaurants and a visitor centre.
It has been estimated that the Eden Project Morecambe would pull 740,000 visitors annually, as well as providing around 300 high-quality green jobs, plus more than 1,000 additional new jobs supported in the region.
