New book will celebrate West End Impact achievements

A new book is being launched today to celebrate the achievements of Morecambe based charity, West End Impact, in its 20th anniversary year.

West End Impact was founded in 2002, and helps local people who are suffering problems, hardship or crisis, offering a range of services including food parcels, advice sessions on benefits, housing, budgeting, and free use of laptops, wi-fi and phones, from their centre on Heysham Road.

Many people using the service receive a plan of action, aimed at dealing with any issues one step at a time. They also offer therapy sessions and volunteering opportunities.

To showcase the work they do, a book has been commissioned to celebrate and recognise twenty individuals whose lives have been changed in some way by West End Impact.

The book also includes twenty unique pieces of artwork created by local artists, inspired by the stories shared in the book.

The charity is holding a book launch and celebration this evening, November 25th, between 6-9pm and again tomorrow, Saturday 26th November, 10am-3pm.

All are welcome to attend.
