A singer-songwriter from Morecambe who performed this year in front of Andrew Lloyd Webber is set to release her new EP called 'Songs from the Bay'.
Amy Jo Clough will release the new EP on June 2 on Safe House Recordings.
This comes just months after she performed at the renowned KOKO music venue in Camden, and was surprised to see legendary musical theatre impresario Baron Lloyd Webber in the front row!
He was joined at The Other Songs Event by renowned lyricist Don Black, who co-wrote James Bond themes 'Thunderball', 'Diamonds Are Forever' and 'The Man with the Golden Gun'.
Also performing at the event was Raye, who had a number one hit earlier this year with 'Escapism'.
This was one of several highlights in 2023 for Amy Jo, who also spent a day at Sony Studios and made her debut performance at the famous Cavern Club in Liverpool earlier this year.
Louder Than War magazine said: “There’s something special about Amy Jo, who sounds like a Nashville-era Taylor Swift. One to watch for 2023."
Amy Jo has been singing and performing in the local area since she was a young girl.
Amy won countless talent contests as a teen, appeared at many of the area's biggest events and festivals, and has performed alongside artists such as Scouting for Girls, Stooshe and Rick Astley, as well as The Fratellis, Alexander O’Neal, The Vamps, Professor Green and Pixie Lott.
She is a keen supporter of the Lancaster Grand and was part of the 'A Night for Simon' evening of entertainment in memory of radio presenter Simon Yaxley at the theatre on Saturday.
In recent weeks Amy Jo has been writing with John Beck (Corinne Bailey Rae, Tamsin Archer) and Tim Hutton (Ian Brown, Prodigy).
Incidentally John Beck co-wrote Corinne Bailey Rae’s Put `Your Records On, a track Amy Jo performed whilst winning one of her numerous talent contests, earning £1000 for her chosen charity in the process.
Amy Jo's singles 'Coming Close', 'February 14' and 'Shoulder Pads' have all received airplay on Beyond Radio in recent months.

She will be performing a home show at the Gregson Centre in Lancaster on Wednesday July 11. Tickets available soon.
