Morecambe nursing home welcomes TV series The Bay

Marsha Thomason from The Bay TV series with Whitelow House owners David Carnegie and Shamin Dharsee

A Morecambe nursing home has undergone a makeover to take on a starring role in hit TV drama The Bay.

Whitelow House on Marine Road East was a location for scenes in the current series of The Bay which is airing on ITV1.

The nursing home was renamed 'Oak Grove Residential Care' home for Episode 3 of Series 4 which was shown on Wednesday night.

Whitelow House owners David Carnegie and Shamin Dharsee, and their dog Winny, were delighted to welcome the cast and crew of the crime drama when they filmed at the home last summer.

They had their photo taken with main character Marsha Thomason, who plays DS Jenn Townsend.

Here are some more photos of The Bay's visit to Whitelow House.

Series 4 of The Bay continues on ITV1 on Wednesday nights at 9pm.

You can also watch the entire series at ITV's streaming service ITVX.

We interviewed Dan Ryan (pictured below with Marsha), who plays DI Tony Manning in The Bay, before the start of the new series.
