Members of Morecambe's volunteer lifeboat crew have been awarded the Queen's Platinum Jubilee medal.
The medal is being awarded this year to people in public service, including emergency front line workers, to mark Her Majesty's 70 year reign.
It is given as a token of the nation’s thanks to those who diligently serve the public.
The RNLI volunteers awarded with the medal are Adam Mills, Andrew Watson, Chris Buchanan, Chris Smith, Conor McIntyre, Danny Kirk, Drew Stewart, James Donnell, Marcus Buchanan, Mark Bateson, Rob Jebson, Ross Simpson, Steve Wilson and Trevor McMeeking.
Frontline emergency services personnel that have been in paid service, retained or in a voluntary capacity, dealing with emergencies as part of their conditions of service, and have completed five full calendar years of service on February 6 2022, qualify to receive the medal.
It has also been awarded to members of the Armed Forces, prison services personnel, living recipients of the George Cross and Victoria Cross, and members of the Royal Household.
A Morecambe RNLI spokesperson said: "The Queen has been a staunch RNLI supporter throughout her reign, granting awards for services to lifesaving, naming lifeboats, opening lifeboat stations, and giving cheer, inspiration and a well-deserved sense of pride to generations of RNLI lifesavers.
"Her Majesty The Queen has been Patron of the RNLI since 1952 and as a station we send our congratulations to Her Majesty upon achieving a historic 70 years of service."
The medal, which is made of nickel silver, features an image of The Queen with the Latin inscription ‘Elizabeth II Dei Gratia Regina Fid Def’ which stands for ‘Elizabeth II, By the Grace of God, Queen, Defender of the Faith’.
