The Bruccianis held a gathering to celebrate 130 years of their family business

Famous ice cream makers from Morecambe have celebrated 130 years as a family business.

The Bruccianis marked the special anniversary with a gathering at their cafe on Marine Road Central.

There were guests from all over the UK and even from as far afield as Australia.

"What a fabulous evening celebrating 130 years of our family tradition!" said a post on the Bruccianis Facebook page.

"So lovely to meet and catch up with family from all over the world. See you all again next year. The big Brucciani meet up is now a thing!"🥂

Luigi Brucciani first came to England in 1893 as a teenager, and set up a business making authentic Italian ice cream.

The cafe near the Winter Gardens opened in 1939, just before the Second World War.

Last year, Brucciani's hosted a photographic exhibition telling the remarkable stories of people who moved to and settled in Morecambe
