Man pleads guilty to burglaries at Pizza Hut, Lancaster Cricket Club and bed shop

A man has pleaded guilty to burglaries at a pizza restaurant, bed shop and cricket club in Lancaster.

Mitchell Blamire, 34, of St Wilfrid’s Park, Lancaster, has been remanded to court for his sentencing next month.

The first burglary was at Lancaster Cricket Club on Lune Road on June 22 which had its windows smashed, shutter damaged and an amount of alcohol stolen. Around £300 worth of damage was caused.

The second burglary took place on June 25 at Dreams on the Kingsway Retail Park on Parliament Street in Lancaster. The shop had its windows smashed, an internal door damaged and a cash box stolen worth £30, and £600 worth of damage was caused.

Then in the early hours of August 14, the window was smashed of Pizza Hut on the Kingsway Retail Park. The culprit gained entry and tried to force the till, before removing a bottle of Pepsi, and caused more than £500 worth of damage.

Blamire pleaded guilty at magistrates court and was committed to Crown Court for sentence in September.
