Man injured in suspected shooting in Morecambe

A man is in a "serious but stable" condition in hospital with facial injuries after police were called to a suspected shooting in Morecambe.

Emergency crews found the injured man, who is local and in his 20s, after being called out to an alleyway behind Skipton Street on Monday evening. A police investigation is under way but no arrests have been made at this stage.

Police were called to reports of a "suspected firearms discharge" at 5.56pm on Monday.
