Beyond Radio has spoken to the stars of a new photo exhibition of people who moved to and settled in Morecambe from places as far afield as Spain, Russia and Australia.
We chatted to Maureen Elliot, Jose Luis Calvo, and mother and daughter Nelli Watmough and Karina Valichko, who have all been captured on camera for the new 'Destination Morecambe' exhibition at Brucciani's ice cream cafe on the Promenade.
All of them came to live in Morecambe from overseas and have amazing stories to tell.
Maureen, 89, is a retired soprano singer from Sydney, Australia, who first came to the UK on a tour with the famous comedian Tommy Trinder.
She met her future husband Byll when he was putting in a water fountain at a show she was performing on.
"I saw this handsome guy walking across the stage and I thought 'that's the man I'm going to marry!'" said Maureen.
Maureen moved to Morecambe in 1958 to be with Byll, they had five children, and she has lived in the area ever since.
"I've never regretted coming here," she said.
Maureen's daughter-in-law Inma, who is originally from Spain, is also featured in the exhibition.
She met Maureen's son Alasdair when she was ice skating in a touring 'Holiday On Ice' show.
The Elliot family run a Morecambe-based business called Water Sculptures, which installs water features for big-name clients all over the world.

Jose, 83, runs a Spanish tapas bar on Marine Road West in the West End of Morecambe.
Before he came to the UK, he was a bullfighter in his native Spain.
He says when he first came to Morecambe he thought the town was "fantastic".
Prior to opening his own restaurant, he worked at The Beach Club at Heysham Head, the Winter Gardens, the Strathmore and the Midland hotel.
Jose plans to retire soon but says he still loves living in Morecambe.

Nelli was born in south Russia. She met her British husband in 1995 and then around a decade later, they came to live in the UK, settling in Morecambe.
Nelli now runs Keegan's coffee shop in Poulton Square in Morecambe. The shop's most famous customer is the world heavyweight boxing champion Tyson Fury.
"Somebody came in my shop, I didn't know who he was," said Nelli.
"We started talking, he was tall, and I thought 'My God, who is he?'
"I was talking to a customer and she said 'It's Tyson Fury'.
"I said 'I don't know who he is'. She said 'This is the guy who beat Klitschko!'
"I said 'Oh my God!' and I said to him 'Come on, give me a hug, you did very well!'"
Her daughter Karina, who helps her in the coffee shop, went to Ripley St Thomas school in Lancaster, then graduated in business management from university in London.

The 'Destination Morecambe' exhibition was created by photographer David Stewart, in partnership with Morecambe-based arts producers Deco Publique and White Elephant Contemporary.
