A new charity shop to help care for and rehome stray, injured and unwanted cats has opened in Morecambe.

The Lancaster and Morecambe Cat Rescue charity shop opened on Friday on Pedder Street in the town.

The registered charity has been active in the local area for two years and has opened the shop to raise much-needed funds.
