Giant blow-up Father Christmas outside Lancaster bar unlikely to return after latest vandalism

A giant inflatable Santa outside a Lancaster high street bar has been attacked and burst again and is now unlikely to return.

Management at All Hopes No Promises on Market Street had appealed to the public to stop vandalising their enormous blow-up Father Christmas after he was rugby tackled and popped the weekend before last.

The culprit agreed to pay for a new one, so a new massive Santa was placed outside the 'Winter Wonderbar' at the weekend, for customers and passersby to enjoy.

But then just hours later on Saturday December 9, the inflatable was once again deliberately burst.

The All Hopes No Promises team have told Beyond Radio they will try to repair their Father Christmas if possible but won't be paying for a new one.

So in all likelihood, they said this was the end for Santa.

The bar had decided to place the giant Saint Nick outside the pub for children and families to enjoy, and take photos to help make their Christmas feel even more festive.

The inflatable had been victim to a number of attacks, all caught on the bar’s CCTV cameras, leading to the pub appealing for the public to leave Santa alone.
