Furry friends wanted to help Morecambe charity's dog walking campaign

Dogs are wanted for the Unique Kidz and Co Wagz and Walkz challenge

Four-legged friends are wanted to help raise money for a charity for disabled young people.

Unique Kidz and Co will once again host its Wagz & Walkz campaign and are challenging doggies and their owners to cover 50 miles during March and fetch at least £50 in sponsorship.

Last year’s campaign saw more than 30 dogs raising a whopping £2,235 for the Morecambe-based charity.

This year Unique Kidz and Co will celebrate its 15th birthday and is looking to expand its centre on Woodhill Lane in the town.

All the dogs that join the pack for the 2024 campaign will receive a new bandana, a fundraising pack, and exclusive invites to join a Group Walk and Wagz and Walkz Facebook group.

If you and your furry companion are interested in joining the challenge, follow this link.

Unique Kidz and Co is a Morecambe based charity which runs a range of services for disabled children, young adults and their families. The charity was set up in 2009 by two parents of children with disabilities.

It currently supports over 180 local children and young adults through its afterschool clubs, holiday clubs, daytime support service, siblings group and stay and play sessions.

Unique Kidz and Co relies heavily on fundraising and grants to be able to continue providing its life changing services. The charity needs to raise at least £180,000 each year to continue.
