A woman was pulled from a burning car after a crash near the Bay Gateway and Morecambe Road junction.

Nobody else was reported to be hurt following the collision involving the car and a lorry just before 8.45pm on Monday.

A police spokesperson said: "Officers ensured all persons were safely away from the fire and managed the traffic."

A spokesperson for Lancashire Fire and Rescue said: "At 20:43 on the 29th August 2022, two fire engines from Morecambe and Lancaster along with the water bowser from Leyland attended a road traffic collision on Morecambe Road, Morecambe.
