Dates revealed for 2023 Lancaster Music Festival

Organisers of Lancaster Music Festival have confirmed that the event will return in 2023.

The event in Lancaster city centre, billed as the UK's number one urban music festival, will be back for its 13th edition from October 12 to 15, it has been revealed.

A statement on the festival Facebook page said there were "lots of exciting plans being made, some new ideas cropping up and, of course, some old LMF faves in the works too!

"Artists - look out for information landing on our social media pages and website over the coming weeks about how to apply to perform at LMF2023.

"Venues - interested in taking part for the first time? Drop us a line at info@lancastermusicfestival.com to find out more about playing host.

"We can't wait!"

Organisers estimated that 70,000 people attended the 2022 festival which  featured more than 550 performances at more than 50 venues across the city over four days.

Live music was performed everywhere in the city centre from shops and banks to museums and even a canal boat (below).
