Closure of Morecambe town centre restaurant announced

No.9 restaurant in Morecambe

The closure has been announced of a restaurant in Morecambe town centre.

The team at No.9 restaurant on Skipton Street announced the news with a post on their Facebook page on Friday.

"It is with great sadness that we have taken the very difficult decision to close No.9," said the statement.

"We would like to thank all of our customers over the past four years for all the support you have shown us, and we hope to see you again in the future."

No.9 first opened in 2019, and described itself as a "family run restaurant serving quality food and drink at reasonable prices".

Customers reacted with sadness to the news on Facebook, saying the restaurant had "the best steaks for miles" and "the food was always fab".

Prior to No.9 opening, the premises was home to the popular and long-running Alfredo's restaurant.
