A Lions and Dragon parade is coming to Lancaster city centre this Sunday (February 6) as part of a colourful carnival to mark Chinese New Year.
The carnival is part of the Lancaster Chinese New Year Festival run by Lancaster University graduates Josh Leung and Percy Lee from Hong Kong.
Stalls will open at 10am, followed by an opening ceremony at 11.45am in Market Street. The parade will begin after that.
Performances will take place on the Market Square Plinth throughout the day, starting at 12.45pm. They will include music, dancing and displays of Kung Fu.
There will also be a photo booth so people can have pictures taken wearing Chinese outfits.

The carnival will be preceded by a Variety Show on Saturday (February 5) at the Lancaster Grand.
This runs from noon to 2pm and includes Kung Fu performances, traditional Chinese dances, shadow puppetry, Peking Opera and live music.
Limited tickets are available from the Grand Theatre website.
Chinese lanterns have been hanging above Lancaster city centre streets for the past few weeks to celebrate Chinese New Year, which began on February 1.
The festival also included Chinese films which were shown at the Dukes Theatre earlier this month.
