There is interest in the Frontierland site from "a number of commercial developers" it has been revealed.
The developers have not been named but a council report says there have been "expressions of interest from a number" of them.
A think tank called 'Morecambe Vision' will now put forward suggestions to Lancaster City Council for a final decision to be made about what will happen to the former Wild West theme park land.
The Morecambe Vision advisory group, set up by Councillor Tricia Heath from Lancaster City Council, includes representatives of the Eden Project North, Morecambe BID (Business Improvement District), Morecambe Town Council, Lancashire County Council, Bay Tourism Association, Morecambe Winter Gardens, Morecambe Football Club, Lancaster and Morecambe College and other local businesses and organisations.
Frontierland has been left in a state of dis-use since the fairground closed in 2000.
The land was bought by the city council in 2021, from previous owners Morrison's.
The theme park has appeared on the annual report from Councillor Tim Hamilton-Cox, cabinet member for sustainable economic prosperity.
It lists a number of Lancaster City Council assets for "management and development".
The list also includes the Co-Op building on Regent Road, 1 Lodge Street in Lancaster (the Musicians' Co-Op building) and Heysham Gateway.
