Lancaster city centre pub reopens under new management

Matt Myers is the new licensee at the Tap House in Lancaster

A Lancaster city centre pub has reopened with a new licensee at the helm.

The Tap House on Gage Street is now being run by Matt Myers, who took over on Monday.

The pub, operated by Chorley-based Trust Inns, had previously been closed for about a month.

Matt has a wealth of experience in the licensed trade and has worked at several pubs in the region including the Crown Hotel in Garstang and the Lane Ends in Wesham, Preston.

He has been joined at the Tap House by his dog Luna!

Matt will be continuing The Tap House's tradition of live music, starting tonight (September 7) with Karl Ribble and then Daisy Smith on Friday and Rock It Man on Saturday.

In the past the premises has been known by other names including The Fat Scot and Spooners.
