The outdoor ice skating rink in the city centre opens with group displays.

LANCASTER CHRISTMAS LIGHTS SWITCHON

Join us as we switch on the Christmas Lights in Lancaster City Centre, in association with organisers Lancaster BID and supported by Lancaster University.

We’ll be joined by comedy folk band The Lancashire Hotpots performing live on stage in Market Square, as well as entertainment from local band The Howling Clowns, Lancaster theatres The Dukes and the Grand, The Voice UK's Olivia-Mae Mulqueeney, C&C Entertainments and samba drumming band Samba Espirito. 

The annual Santa Dash in aid of CancerCare North Lancashire and South Cumbria will also see people dressed as Father Christmas taking to the streets of the city. 

We’ve also arranged for the big man himself to appear on stage! 

Sunday November 27, from 1.20pm, Market Square, Lancaster

 

Promenade Concert Orchestra - Your 100 Best Tunes 

This concert will feature tunes by Elgar, Tschaikovsky, Lehar, Vaughan-Williams, Ernest Tomlinson and many more chosen by the conductor.
