INTERVIEW: More than 3,500 tickets sold for ever-popular Lancaster adult panto

Ben Cooper-Muir and Sophie Webster star in After Dark's annual adult panto 'Dick Whittington'

Beyond Radio welcomed two cast members from the annual Lancaster adult pantomime to hear about how tickets are flying out...oh yes they are!

Ben Cooper-Muir and Sophie Webster said that more than 3,500 tickets have been sold to date for the 11-night run of 'Dick Whittington' at the Lancaster Grand.

The saucy show begins on December 3 and After Dark Entertainment are promising "a feast of festive fun" and "panto pandemonium!"

LISTEN to Ben and Sophie talking about this year's Adult Pantomime

The adult pantomime has been performed at the Grand for 16 years and is always a hot ticket with theatre-goers.

It is strictly for 18s and over because the "language can be a bit fruity!" and "it's not for the prudish", they said.

"There are some jokes of a sexual nature," said Ben, who plays the Dame and has nine costume changes during the show

"But we are not filth!"

Sophie plays a popular character inspired by Julie Walters' Mrs Overall from Acorn Antiques, who is likely to pop up on stage at the most inappropriate time.

She said: "There's a lot of slapstick-style comedy in there."

Here is the adult panto cast getting ready for the show at the Grand.

Tickets are available from the Grand box office. Call 01524 64695 during opening hours or book online here.

Shows run until December 19, starting at 8pm. and tickets cost £21. They are selling fast!

After Dark Entertainment also runs murder mystery nights and have an office next to the Winter Gardens in Morecambe.
