‘Circus in the City’ comes to Lancaster this week

Families can enjoy a brand new circus themed family event in Lancaster city centre tomorrow (April 6).

Circus in the City comes to Lancaster on Thursday (April 6), and is a brand new event with fun for all the family.

The event will take over Lancaster’s Market Square to showcase a variety of circus skills.

People will be able to enjoy street performances, try their hand at skills such as diabalo, plate spinning and juggling, with equipment provided and expert guidance on hand.

The event runs between 10am and 4pm, and includes:

10am-4pm: Circus Skills drop in workshop - Market Square (except when performances are on)

11am, 1pm, 3pm: Circus Sensible performances – Market Square

10am-4pm: Face painter

11am-3pm: Balloon Modelling

12:30pm, 1:30pm, 2:30pm: Aerial Gymnastics Display – Marketgate Shopping centre

Various times: Stilt Walking – various locations

The event is sponsored by Marketgate Shopping Centre and organised by Lancaster Business Improvement District (BID).
