Appeal for witnesses after stabbing at Windermere station  

Detectives are asking for any witnesses to come forward after a man was stabbed at Windemere railway station last month.

On Friday November 24 at around 3.15pm, it was reported a man was sitting in the waiting room at Windemere station when he was approached by a man and a woman who attacked him.

The victim was stabbed three times, twice in the arm and once in the armpit area, leaving him needing urgent hospital treatment.

As a result of the investigation, a man and a woman have been arrested and they are continuing to assist officers in the investigation.

Police are asking for anyone who was a witness to the incident or were in or near the carpark and witnessed anyone arriving or leaving the station at to get in touch, or, people who may have dashcam footage.
