Winter Warmer and other successes for Lancaster and Morecambe Athletics Club

Lancaster and Morecambe Athletics Club had another busy month in February.

In the Calverdale Muddy Boots five mile run, five LMAC members ran and finished in similar times, with Stephen Perry finishing slightly faster:

Plenty of people from the club have taken part in half marathons in recent weeks. Alexandra Mounsey completed the Grizedale Half Marathon in 2.14.13, Mikes Roy ran the Wrexham Half Marathon in 1.30.55 and Christian Remy completed his first ever half marathon in Blackpool on February 19 in 1.48.50.

On Williamson Park’s Charity Fitness Day on February 5, Christina McGuire ran 10K in 52.49 and three LMAC members completed the half marathon:

In Lancaster Race Series’ Valentines 10km on February 12, LMAC’s Mark Leadbeatter finished first with an impressive time of 34.30!

On the final weekend of February, the Stanley Park 10K runs in Blackpool took place. On Saturday (February 25), Mikes Roy finished eighth with a time of 39.07 and on Sunday (February 26), Maureen Roberts ran it in 1.15.57.
