Success for Lancaster and Morecambe Athletics Club

Christine and Steve Perry of Lancaster and Morecambe Athletics Club

Members of Lancaster and Morecambe Athletics Club have competed in events across the UK over the last few weeks.

Firstly, in the Windmill Remembrance 10K on November 13 – the final Club Championship race - David Walker finished first in the MV60 category with a time of 41m 21s, and Stephen Perry came second in the MV65 category with 46.21.

Chris McGuire took part in the Snowdonia Marathon on October 29, representing LMAC, and finished with a time of 4.24.30 – she was the third fastest finishing Vet 60 competitor.

Many of LMAC’s runners have also been taking part in races in Preston lately. In the city’s 5K distributor on October 29, Steve Perry finished first in the MV65 category and 29th overall with a time of 22.21, while Susan Hodgson and Christine Perry finished close together on times of 29.05 and 29.06 respectively.

Here are the results for LMAC’s members at the Preston 10 mile road race on November 20:

Finally, in the 10 mile race at the Morecambe Festival of Running last weekend, the two competitors from LMAC finished together:
