The forward on loan from Barrow, scored his first goals for the club, as Ged Brannan’s men came from behind to secure back to back away wins in West Sussex and move to 40 points in the league.

Ged Brannan made four changes from last weekend’s squad which fell to defeat against Colchester United.

David Tutonda and Joel Senior returned to the starting line-up, whilst Julian Larsson and Nelson Khumbeni were handed their debuts.

Morecambe forged the first real opening after 12 minutes on the counter, with David Tutonda’s effort turned behind for a corner at the near post.

A few minutes later, the Red Devils opened the scoring, as former Morecambe man Adam Campbell knocked the ball into the path of Harry Forster, whose low drive from the edge of the area found the bottom corner of Archie Mair’s net.

Shortly after, the Shrimps had a great chance to get back on level terms, as Jacob Bedeau played a perfectly weighted ball into the path of Ged Garner, but his effort was blocked one on one by Addai.

The Shrimps found themselves back on level terms ten minutes before half time.

A Joel Senior cross from the right found David Tutonda, who did excellently to keep the move alive before squaring into the path of Garner who slid the ball past Addai and into the far corner from close range, for his first goal in a Morecambe shirt.

Two minutes into the second-half Morecambe came agonisingly close to gaining the lead. Julian Larsson’s lung-busting run down the left ended with him squaring to an unmarked Garner, but his low effort was saved.

Then, Senior’s cross was nodded back across the area by Rawson, and Bedeau headed in from close range, only for the defender to be judged to be in an offside position.

Julian Larsson on debut and substitute Jake Taylor came close from range, while at the other end Mair had to be alert twice to turn efforts behind.

Soon after, Taylor also had an impact as he cut inside and lashed a ferocious effort towards goal, but the midfielder’s shot ultimately went wide.

Morecambe took a deserved lead on 84 minutes.

Garner picked a Senior through ball up wide on the right, and showed great skill and power to get beyond Conroy before arrowing an effort into the bottom corner, for what proved to be the winning goal.
