Lancaster City will play their first game since parting ways with former boss Mark Fell.

Club captain Andrew Teague will take interim charge of the team while the search for a new manager is ongoing.

Fellow experienced centre back Simon Grand will assist Teague.

Lancaster announced on Wednesday that Fell, who had been in charge at The Giant Axe for just over five years, had left the club, along with his coaching staff: Graham Lancashire, Craig Rutherford and Mark Thornley.

Lancaster are currently 13th in the NPL Premier Division.

After a difficult run of results in the last couple of months, their form has recently picked up.

They progressed to the third round of the Lancashire FA Challenge Trophy on Tuesday (November 21) with a 3-0 win over Prestwich Heys, and beat Ashton United 2-1 in their most recent league game on November 14.

Lancaster’s opponents on Saturday are also manager-less.

Bradford Park Avenue parted ways with Mark Bower earlier this month.

Bower was in charge of the club across two spells at the Horsfall Stadium, firstly between September 2016 and May 2019, then between September 2019 to this month.

The Green Army, relegated from the National League North last season, sit 18th in the NPL Premier Division - only outside of the drop zone by virtue of goal difference.

Lancaster City v Bradford Park Avenue kicks off at 3pm on Saturday (November 25) at The Giant Axe.
