Lancaster City will be hoping to build on their midweek win with another victory on the road, against Whitby Town.

The Dollies beat Marske United 3-2 at Mount Pleasant on Tuesday, having gone without a win away from home since August.

Goals from Brad Carroll, Nic Evangelinos and Sam Bailey got them the win.

Whitby are only one place above Lancaster in the Northern Premier League Premier Division, sitting in 17th, but have recently started picking up many more valuable points than they were in the first couple of months of the campaign, winning three of their last five league games – including a 2-1 win at home versus Warrington Town on Tuesday night.

Lancaster were 3-0 victors at Whitby’s Turnbull Ground bask in January, and they will undoubtedly be hoping for a similar result on Saturday.

Ed Ikpakwu came off with an injury on Tuesday night and it’s unknown whether he’ll be fit to play on Saturday.

Mark Fell spoke to the club website after the 3-2 victory over Marske and hoped it was the start of a good run of form.

“We’ve now just got to get that bit of momentum and that bit of belief about us to carry on and keep climbing the league if we can.”

Fell mentioned that he only takes things one game at a time, however Lancaster are just over a week away from their huge FA Trophy clash against Chester.

A coach service for fans has been arranged by the club and it will stop at three destinations on Saturday - Giant Axe at noon, the Holiday Inn on Caton Road at 12.10pm and near to the Phantom Winger at 12.20pm.

It costs £15 for an adult journey and £7.50 for U16s, and people can contact keithwinder@winderphillips.co.uk to book a place on the coach.

Whitby Town v Lancaster City kicks off at 3pm on Saturday (November 12) at the Turnbull Ground.
