Lancaster City will be hoping they can make it four league wins on the bounce when they host Ashton United this Saturday.

Their last three Northern Premier League Premier Division matches, all on the road, have been victories – at Marske United, Whitby Town and most recently third-placed Hyde United.

They will be hosting Ashton United, a team who have recently gained a lot of attention on social media for their humorous club statement offering to take Manchester City’s star striker Erling Haaland on loan for 28 days while the Premier League season is paused due to the World Cup.

On the pitch, they’re currently in ninth position and beat Bamber Bridge 3-0 last Saturday. They’ve played 10 games away from home this campaign and picked up 16 points in those games from a possible 30, winning five and drawing one.

Lancaster City have recently welcomed back Brad Carsley to the club after re-joining the Dollies following a two-year spell at Charnock Richard – he could be in line for a start as his fitness builds up. In terms of outgoings, Brad Hubbold has permanently joined Workington AFC.

Defender Calen Gallagher-Allison was substituted off with an awful-looking injury on Tuesday night during Lancaster’s 2-1 win over Hyde United. The latest regarding the centre back was that he left hospital in a boot early on Wednesday after suffering a dislocated ankle. He is now starting his rehabilitation and thankfully it looks like his time out could be much less than first feared after an X-ray revealed no fracture to the ankle.

Lancaster City v Ashton United kicks off at the Giant Axe on Saturday (November 26) at 3pm.
