BIG FIGHT COUNTDOWN: Morecambe fight fans rally behind Tyson Fury ahead of undisputed battle

Boxing experts, fans and friends of Tyson Fury are gearing up for his undisputed world heavyweight boxing title fight against Oleksandr Usyk.

Fight fans across the Morecambe area have been sharing their stories of first meeting Tyson, and their messages of support for the town's own 'Gypsy King'.

WBC and lineal champion Fury will battle unified WBA, IBF and WBO champion Usyk on Saturday night with the eyes of the world watching, in the first undisputed world heavyweight title fight for 25 years.

Fury's friend and training partner Isaac Lowe, also from Morecambe, will box Hasibullah Ahmadi in a featherweight contest on the undercard.

JAMIE WAKEMAN from Slyne-with-Hest and a coach with Coastal Amateur Boxing Club in Morecambe, is out in Riyadh with his son, 17-year-old Declan, and will be inside the Kingdom Stadium on Saturday to support Tyson and Isaac.

STUART MICHAELS, founder of Morecambe Music Festival, singer and entertainer, is a longtime fight fan who remembers the first time he clapped eyes on the heavyweight champion of the world.
