Man charged after cannabis farm found in Morecambe

A man has been charged after a cannabis farm worth £100,000 was found at a property in Morecambe.

In the early hours of yesterday morning (Thursday April 4), officers from the Road Crime Team were alerted to a property on Albert Road in Morecambe.

Upon entering the address, officers found a large-scale cannabis grow of around 250 plants located over four floors.

Evidence was also found that the electricity had been bypassed, and Electricity North West attended to make the area safe.

Gent Baneta, 41, from Albert Road Morecambe, has been charged with cultivation of cannabis and has been remanded into custody.
