Lancaster BID has launched its 2022 Christmas Toy Appeal with a whirlwind shopping trip at a city centre toy store.
BID manager Tony Johnson joined Jackie Shaw from sponsors The Travellers Choice at The Entertainer at St Nicholas Arcades, as the Carnforth-based coach travel firm donated more than £150 worth of toys to the appeal.
The Travellers Choice are celebrating 150 years in business and decided to celebrate by giving something back to the community by sponsoring the BID's Toy Appeal.

Lancaster Business Improvement District has also teamed up with four charities to ensure that this Christmas, gifts go to the children who need them the most.
To distribute your gifts to those who need them most, the BID has teamed up with these charities: St Josephs - Little Joe's Clothes, East Meets West - Helping Heart for Ukraine, Bay Hospitals Charity The Children’s Ward at the Royal Lancaster Infirmary, and Unique Kidz & Co.

- The Wagon and Horses, Lancaster on St Georges Quay
- The YMCA Lancaster Charity Shop in St Nicholas Arcades
- St Nicholas Arcades Shopping Centre
- Primark in Marketgate Shopping Centre
- Nandos on Market Street
- The Travellers Choice HQ in Carnforth
Or bring them along to the Lancaster Christmas Light Switch On on Sunday November 27, organised by Lancaster BID and hosted by Beyond Radio!
Please only donate toys which are new or nearly new.
Please do not gift wrap, toys can only be accepted if unwrapped.
The BID Toy Appeal will run until noon on Sunday, December 18.
