INTERVIEW: Gong baths and wild cooking at young people's Green Festival in Lancaster

Kyle McKenzie from Escape2Make

Kyle McKenzie from Escape2Make has told Beyond Radio all about the youth charity's first ever Green Festival - including gong baths and wild cooking!

Escape2Make will host its Green Festival this Saturday (August 27) and Kyle popped along to the studio on Tuesday to tell us everything that will be going on.

He said the free festival will be a "celebration of sustainability and looking after our local area".

The Lancaster-based Escape2Make helps young people aged 11 to 18 to get involved with creative arts and they will be showing off some of the projects they have been working on all summer, at the festival.

The event will include yoga and gong bath sessions, wild cooking, stalls selling ceramics and wooden gifts, a bicycle repair stall, a green filmmaking cinema experience, live music and much more.

LISTEN to Kyle McKenzie talking about the Green Festival and explaining what a gong bath is!

The festival takes place at Scotch Quarry off Wyresdale Road/Clarence Street in Lancaster between 11am and 4pm on Saturday. All are welcome.

Here is a map of what will be taking place on the day.
