Headline act The Lancashire Hotpots announced for Lancaster Christmas Lights Switchon

The Lancashire Hotpots

The headline act has been announced for this year's Christmas Lights Switchon event in Lancaster.

The comedy folk band will perform live on stage in Market Square on Sunday November 27 which also just happens to be Lancashire Day.

The Hotpots are famed for their fun songs about Lancashire life and British culture, including 'Chippy Tea' and 'He's Turned Emo', sung in the Lancashire dialect.

They will be joined at the event by local band The Howling Clowns, as well as performances from Lancaster theatres The Dukes and the Grand, C&C Entertainments and samba drumming band Samba Espirito.

The annual Santa Dash in aid of CancerCare North Lancashire and South Cumbria will also see people dressed as Father Christmas taking to the streets of the city for a charity jog, run or walk.

Beyond Radio will be there to host the event which is completely free.

More details to come on the Lancaster Christmas Lights Switch On 2022, organised by Lancaster BID (Business Improvement District).
