Football manager and pundit, Ian Holloway, to appear in Lancaster

Popular football manager, media personality and pundit, Ian Holloway, comes to Lancaster next week for a special show.

The ‘Over The Line’ show is being held by Lancaster City Football Club and Kanteena on Thursday June 30.

The show is described as featuring ‘’the straight talker and King of dark humour taking us through his 40 year career with numerous hilarious tales, anecdotes and stories, sure to have you all in huge fits of laughter.’’

The evening also includes food, a charity auction, a magic show, DJ and compere.

‘Ollie’ notably played in the Premier League with Queens Park Rangers where he made just under 150 league appearances in a five-year spell, but spent most of his career at boyhood club Bristol Rovers. He also played in the Football League with Brentford and Torquay United.

His lengthy managerial career includes stints in charge of Bristol Rovers, Queens Park Rangers (where he won promotion from Division Two in 2004), Plymouth Argyle, Leicester City, Millwall and Grimsby.

He guided both Blackpool and Crystal Palace to promotion to the Premier League in 2010 and 2013 respectively.

Holloway has a reputation amongst football fans for his West Country accent, off-the-wall interviews and amusing soundbites to questions from the media.
