An annual punk music weekender in Lancaster is being dedicated to the memory of a top front man of local bands described as "a lovely character and a true one-off".

Punk and Disorderly 12 will this year pay tribute to Stefan Holden, who died in 2023.

Stefan was a huge supporter of the local music scene and the annual charity fundraisers organised by Punk and Disorderly promoter Mark 'Simmo' Simpson.

He was also front man of No Agenda, D-Liberate and The Cosmic Fingers.

Punk and Disorderly takes place on Friday August 23 and Saturday August 24 at The Bobbin in Lancaster.

"This year I am dedicating the event to the memory of my good friend Stefan Holden who so sadly passed last year," said Mark Simpson.

"Such a top man who for many years supported all things music in the local scene and all my events, especially the charity fundraisers.

"He was a great front man of No Agenda, D-Liberate and of course, The Cosmic Fingers, having so kindly played nigh on every P and D over all these years and not forgetting all the times he so kindly put up bands at his house.

"Always a great laugh and such a lovely character, a true one-off, he will be so missed this time."

'Simmo' said Punk and Disorderly "may possibly be the longest running free DIY punk festival in the North West and beyond".
